As a retired Systems Engineer from a major international bank, I have perfected my skills in influence management. These skills have been instrumental in NAMI's achievements, including establishing the first affiliate in the county to implement NAMI In Our Own Voice (IOOV) in two acute care psychiatric hospitals. I led the introduction of NAMI Ending the Silence (ETS) in local high schools, marking a significant milestone for the county. Additionally, through collaboration with an acute care psychiatric hospital administrator, I designed, developed, and implemented a mentorship program that resulted in a remarkable reduction of over 70% in re-hospitalization rates.
I possess computer programming and systems design skills that could be valuable to NAMI for evaluating and implementing systems development projects.

I have actively contributed to advancing the NAMI mission in my community by strategically implementing NAMI programs in locations where individuals are already present, rather than expecting them to seek us out. This approach has been particularly effective in acute care psychiatric hospitals, among individuals on probation, within the local jail system, and currently within the federal prison system.
I work well in coordination with other leaders to accomplish goals as evidenced by...
My ability to collaborate effectively with fellow leaders is exemplified by my successful partnerships with NAMI affiliates across California. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I have played a pivotal role in addressing the shortage of program leaders by sharing resources with multiple affiliates statewide, ensuring that the demand for NAMI programs is met.
